Susanne has worked extensively for the past 12 years in the areas of business and real estate law. For nearly 7 of those years, Susanne served as in-house counsel for 1031 Exchange Companies. There, she was responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of the 1031 Exchange Program for a real estate investment firm reaching a monthly goal of over 30M in equity raised within the first eighteen months of operation.
Susanne's notable experience in the mortgage and real estate industry complements her legal practice and enables her to see the entire picture for her clients.
Representative transactions include responsibility for reverse 1031 exchange product underwriting and the development of all operational requirements to confirm compliance with IRS regulations and internal policies and drafting Offering Memoranda and all other related legal documents pertaining to real estate investment products. Structured and completed delayed, reverse, and improvement 1031 exchanges, utilizing extensive knowledge and understanding of the laws and regulations governing 1031 transactions.
